"setting the face" prompt not appearing

i've reset like 4 times even watched videos and i simpy cannot progress

Are you talking about the tutorial prompt? If so, that only appears once in the tutorial.

When setting the face you need to have the needle injector and setting needles in your inventory. When you are on the setting the face step, you interact with the face and the camera will zoom in. Then the needle injector should appear.

If using keyboard and mouse, drag the button on the slider all the way up and then click the button. Repeat this until the barb is in.

If using controller. Use the up direction on the Dpad to move the button up. Once it is at the top. Press the interact button. Repeat. Hopefully this helps!

sometimes things wont progress if there's a haunt you have to interact with as well!

yes in the tutorial the prompt wasn't appearing (couldn't progress tried everything)
even went out of my way and installed the game on steam deck and got the prompt easily
windows 10 if that matters
