Mark with only 3 sigils?

I had only three sigils but I was sure the mark was right because there was only one demon name with those 3 sigils all together...but I got possessed anyway. I thought at least I would get the right demon but the wrong body cutscene.

Do you need the game to spawn all 4 sigils during the shift, to have the mark / demon name recognized as "correct" (script thing or was I simply wrong - though unlikely I was wrong - read above)?

Anyway...another thing weird in the same shift was that one body had a scratch on the arm that was not recognized by the analysis. I mean I could complete the inspection without being able to recognize that scratch / cut on the arm. So I thought, since I left the body long enough (while I was in the cellar) in the inspection room, that the cut appeared later (even though the inspection was not complete yet). This would be a sign that the body was the demon's body, but I still got the wrong-wrong ending (raymond locking you in the basement with cuffs).

I don't know, it was a weird shift. I was trying to go for the "I Know You" achievement but maybe I am misinterpreting and is not related to what I was doing in the shift.

Yes of course I checked 3 of the marks that I found, and in the nightshift program only one mark was composed by the other 3 sigils so I figured out the 4th sigil without it spawning in the shift....but apparently didn't work.

Then I just completed another shift (the 4th shift I think) by burning the right body and it gave me ending 2 of 6 ...also it displays "2 of 5" in the cutscene but it's actually 2 of 6 in the main menu (at the moment I have half of them I think)

Ok this time it worked. I had only 2 bodies embalmed and only had 3 sigils (4th didn't spawn) but of course 4 correct sigils on the mark, and it worked and unlocked the achievement.
