Keep getting possessed ending since update.

I played this game to completion about a year ago. Got all the endings, got the process down cold (no pun intended), and was exorcising demons without fail. With nothing left to do, I moved on to other games. I reinstalled the game after seeing the info about new content and a new ending and have played three shifts and despite doing everything right, I keep getting the ending where I ball the dude up by the window after being possessed.

Has the process changed in some way that I am not aware of?

Well, for what it's worth, you can't use the old "top report" as a tell anymore. Used to be, if the embalming report went to the top slot it meant the body was possessed.

For me, tells I've been using it checking the smile, Looking for uncanny marks, and evidence the body is vying for your attention. Last one's a bit weird, but if it's door slams or the tray is pulled out when you get there, it's likely the possessed one.

From there, it just name deduction. Find the house and the order of symbols. In a pinch, use some ashes from the oven and the match box, but you can only do that once per shift.

Have over 50 shifts, with only 4 possessions, so I think I've got this down. Plus, haven't got possessed so again despite the update.

I wasn't aware about the report. The other stuff I'm watching for. My last one seemed to have every sign and even had the mark of the correct demon hall on it.

Hm, could be a glitch? Recall one time I got possessed, I was speed-running, not holding the clipboard unless I had too. Recall having the name and such then as well. Could be a sequence break issue?

Either way, I kept the clipboard on me, even if I know the steps by heart just in case. Calling that bit speed-running because without that clipboard you can carry two big items, not just one.
