In exactly the same boat as you. Just played the demo fine only to buy the game and needing a dining table to go round in a circle...
Another option may be to adjust your mouse speed in windows settings itself. It's also, unfortunately, the abilities to change these various options that make it harder to get a slider that pleases everyone.
Next try: Change the sensitivity and after that use the close button instead of the esc button. then it worked, sensitivity is noticably faster.
Ooooohhhh. Yes, if you were just closing the menu (unpausing) by pressing escape, that wont save your options changes. You have to click close to apply changes.
But in double checking this, I do see that the slider stays at the setting you put it last. So it doesn't actually reflect that nothing has changed. Fixing. Thankyou. What I'll probably do is have hitting esc save you options too.
