To answer your earlier question, no, you don't have to examine all 3 bodies before burning (there is an achievement specifically for doing it in less than 3, provided you get all the right details).
The "I am missing something" isn't anything you should need to do, or even can do, it's a state where the game is confused about the mark because it's in the cabinet but doesn't believe it should be.
It has been an outstanding issue for a while but a fix is now being tested to stop it from happening.
