Can`t burn the body

I'd like to burn a body, but the oven won't open. I have placed the corpse correctly in front of it so that the rack is locked in place. But when I press the button, nothing happens. Do I need to have examined all 3 bodies first before burning?

I have also finished the 3rd corpse now, but still can't burn corpse 2. The oven just won't open. Do I have to plug in a cable somewhere or something?

I did a restart but now I can't create a mark anymore, it always says "I am missing something...". What am I missing? Do I have to uncover all 4 symbols first? Before the restart I had 3 symbols and I could create a mark.

I have now burned the body without the mark and -of course- the oven worked now. Got a bad ending because creating a mark was not possible. It was unfortunately the right body with the demon.

I just replied to another thread where this was being discussed, so hope you see the response there about the mark disappearing.

To answer your earlier question, no, you don't have to examine all 3 bodies before burning (there is an achievement specifically for doing it in less than 3, provided you get all the right details).

The "I am missing something" isn't anything you should need to do, or even can do, it's a state where the game is confused about the mark because it's in the cabinet but doesn't believe it should be.

It has been an outstanding issue for a while but a fix is now being tested to stop it from happening.

Thanks for the answer. After the restart, the red button on the oven worked again, but instead I had the "Mark" bug. Nice to hear that the bug will be fixed soon.

Yes, the red button problem is an even trickier one to figure out. Still no way yet that I know of to make that go wrong or figure out the cause. But so long as the mark isn't bugged it will then at least still be possible to do the exit/continue trick.
