How do I find out which house the demon belongs to?

Hello Everyone. How do I find out which "house" the demon belongs to? I just played a case where there were the same marks on two different houses, but in different orders, I lost because I chose the wrong house.
Is there any way to find out which house is correct? I took the pencil and the paper and keep writing straight but it doesn't reveal the drawing well and I was afraid of ending up being possessed.

get all 4 sigils and all 4 will match up to a single house. their arent the same symbols for multiple houses. they may share 1 or 2 but no house has the same 4 (I have all endings and embalmed 80 bodies so far)

Apparently other people have seen the same four sigils in more than one house. So while most of the time you just need to know the sigils, sometimes knowing the house is required. Your notepad can be used to reveal the house the demon belongs to. The closer you are to possession the more your scribbles will change. Eventually forming rough circles, then rough symbols, and eventually the complete house symbol. Just keep clicking it every now. It usually changes after a proper event (where you can't interact with the embalming process at all).

In all 80 bodies I’ve done I have gotten most of them right and never run into that problem so that sucks you have

Not me, but I've seen a few forum posts asking about the house for that reason, and other respondents to those posts have said it has happened to them. Obviously I can't verify it but on the off chance this is a thing, I figured I'd post it here for OP.

There are in fact two houses which share 3 sigils, at this point you have to have the fourth one to be sure which it is. Like a true survival horror game, you're expected to take notes. Grab a paper and write them down.

To be fair, this isn't guaranteed to be the case. My last run I got the demon's full name and house with only three sigils because there was only one demon that had them.

The name spellings of the demons change each playthrough, in addition to it being random as to which ones appear from letting strips. So sometimes it will play out that way, sometimes not.

Keep scribbling. it seems you will eventually draw a clear picture of it's house
