Demon's body identification is broken

I burned the body that was moving a lot, he had fresh scratch marks and an inverted cross, and even when using the name tablet he had more activity than the others. ended up being the wrong one and no, I didn't get the blue screen ending

I thought you're supposed to identify them only from which house of hell they came from. you put them all in storage, after embalming them all and after a while the correct house mark appears on their head. You have to find which demon it is by using the burning papers. I never chose the body according to the movements or scare factor, just the correct house mark before burning the body.

Same problem here. One body was moving around way more than the others, it got extra marks on it and everything. Turns out it was the wrong body. As far as I can tell it's purely RNG and you can just get unlucky if all the body events happen to the wrong one.

I had that problem last night as well. 3rd shift, I thought I picked the correct body. Moved a lot, spoke when I put the mark on; though it didn't have fresh marks on him, but none of the bodies I picked before had that either, yet I still picked the right one the first 2 times. Just played another shift, picked the body using same criteria as the 3 before and it was correct. Still have yet to see any fresh marks or house marks on the bodies.

So far I still haven't managed to cremate the right body!
It's frustrating to do everything, (pick up the three marks), see the marks on that body, put the plate on that body, (usually following the criterion of higher paranormal activity, marks like scratches on the body) and the result fails.
It would be interesting if there was a more specific manual to understand the correct steps.

Hi Alex,

I belive that you can't base your choice on paranormal activity, as the activity raises the more time you are spending on the current shift.
My strategy is to be quick with the embalment, and after finishing the body spent about 15 seconds doing nothing and just watching if the body moves. But here I'm talking about realy subtle movement, like in the clip presented in the night shift (cramp-like movement).
After that I just go again through the body to check if any new marks have appeard. Mostly look for symbol of demon house but also it can be a big part of the back burned to black or other suspicious and made silently (not during a scary event when you see the demon doing that) marks.
If no luck with the current body go to another and repeat all the steps I wrote about.
After embalming all the bodies, I recommend checking them all again. Just start with the first one and look for the demonic mark on the body/cramps.
And about the event when you are wittnesing the demon "drawing" upside down cross on the body- I treat it as a bait. Everytime I chose such body I got the 3rd ending (the wrong body one). On the other had, when the demon draw the cross silently, it is probably that body.
I just started playing the game and the "system" I described above have worked for me so far.

So I only had a mark appear on the body that I noticed in my most recent play through. My previous four I had picked the incorrect body only once. The criteria I followed was if I saw them move, if the body was pulled out of it's cooler and I know I hadn't done that or if the demon spoke to me through it. Now, I've noticed that not only does time have a huge factor in all of the paranormal stuff you see and hear, but the amount of sigils you're revealing does as well. I played one play through (my fourth) where I only revealed 2 sigils before I was able to deduce who the Demon was because it was the only one that had the combination of sigils that I had. That play through I had barely any paranormal interactions all game, only one story event with Rebecca in the Bathroom crying and was pushed twice down a hallway. That's it, no jumpscares, no phone calls and no voices. I made the mark, placed it on the body I believed it was (they were my last body and I had gone into the back and they were no longer in their cooler) and I got the standard ending for that night. This last night I wanted to be sure I had the correct body since I was going for the closure ending, so I checked her over and saw the mark that appears on the body's wrist and that was the first time I ever saw a mark on the correct body. So it seems that it may have some variations, but if you want to be certain you can pull bodies out of their coolers to give them a once over before committing to burning one of them.

Your answer clarified a lot of my doubts, I had no idea that the demon marked the body... I mean, I thought it would be the scratches and the increase in paranormal activities. So, just to clarify:

Formula to get it right:

1st- Be quick to embalm the three bodies.

2nd- during and after the procedure of the 1st step, discover the three symbols revealed, and in a clockwise direction place them on the board in the closet.

3rd Now, once everything is concluded, go to the corpse conservation chambers and search, body by body, and review those that have marks such as:
a) inverted cross on the forehead;
Or:
b) the mark of the devil;
c) Are there other brands I should be aware of?

About the mark of the devil, what mark is this "Zaginay"?
Will it be the one that when you go to the computer, (in the password-protected application), is represented in red, (something similar to "three fingers with claws"), or is it another?

4th I must now focus on the body to analyze if it has movements, such as subtle movements of the feet, legs etc.

5th if the corpse has movements and a mark, put the marks board on it and take it to the oven...
Wait not to be:
a) Possessed and kill the coroner;
b) Possessed and locked in the basement of the mortuary
c) And the ending I don't know, SUCCESS!
