Does that make sense?
So if all 5 endings (regardless of variants to them, or ways to achieve each one) are marked off on the stats screen, but you still don't get that achievement around the time of the credits scroll (or even an extra check made for you when on the game main menu itself), then something is acting up with it / Steam.
The only time I think you don't get this check occurring is if you 'lose spectularly'; but as long as you even fail after processing all 3 bodies and burning 1 of them, then the failure check should also apply for counting towards the all endings achievement.
I was watching Markiplier's fourth video on the game on YouTube and after uncovering only one glyph and using the ashes on a random picked corpse (Scardy Matt) He determined that the demon's name was KOVOS .... which I'm assuming is wrong and he embalmed that one corpse. At 5:17, he burned the corpse (he didn't finish embalming it, by not putting back into cold storage) and he got that other ending.
I guess half-assing a shift will get you this ending that I missed where you wake up in the same type of coffin that Vallery was locked in (instead of waking up chained to the basement floor) and you got got put there,
What was strange is that he clicked on continue with that shift after the ending played out and he was back at that shift.... he never finished the shift.....
So does that mean that there are 2 basement endings if you didn't finish your shift, one by running out of time and the other if you burn a body prematurely? So does that mean there is a total of 7 endings?
A rough listing, not necessarily in order as recognized by the game:
1. Good first shift ending
2. Good subsequent shifts ending
3. Good Val ending
4. Good closure ending (no matter which way you achieved it)
5. Bad wrong-demon ending
6. Bad wrong-body ending
7. Bad 'didn't use the mark' ending
8. Bad got it all kinds of wrong ending (buried outside)
9. Bad possession basement cuffed ending
10. Bad possession basement boxed ending
I believe there is something wrong going on when the achievement checker reviews your endings and then tries to submit the achievement to steam. I have no idea what/why, but if the in-game stats window shows all 5 endings have been received, then everything on the game side is already acknowledging you should get that achievement.
What's the difference between the wrong body and wrong demon ending?
This also applies to the 'failed to use mark' variant, so all 3 of that type **.
They are identical except that Raymond acknowledges what it is you did wrong by adjusting one of his lines.
[Raymond] What? What are y- oh no... you didn't use the reagent. Rebecca!
[Raymond] What? What are y- oh no... you chose the wrong demon. Rebecca!
[Raymond] What? What are y- oh no... you chose the wrong body. Rebecca!
[Raymond] What? What are y- oh no... you didn't use the mark. Rebecca!
** As you can see by the first line, there's maybe even 4 variants of the same, but I'm not sure if that's still active because I think that item is required in the steps anyway?! I'd have to re-check.
