John F Kennedy is one of my first leaders I'd like to see added. He's a good fit for a Science based American civ. I also primarily want new civ leaders and if necessary new civs.I also want to see a Roman empress to lead Rome this time or a Roman leader that's never been in a civ game before also

Wladyslaw II Jagiello over Jadwiga as leader of Poland.

Sima Yan as alternate leader for China, because I feel like ending the three kingdoms time period qualifies as important enough.

For Japan instead of Tokugawa or Oda, pick Hideyoshi Toyotomi this time around.
Though I feel like picking Tokimune Hojo already was a cool move to get away from the warring states era and focus on the defense against the Mongols instead (not many can say they survived the horde). Maybe the devs could also go with Emperor Meiji but I guess that would be too controversial.

Hadrian for Rome, because there was a mod in VI that added him and it would be really good. Belasarius for Byzantium.

Idk i'm glad you suggested Wladyslaw II Jagiello, but i personally think also about Lech Walesa or Boleslaw Chrobry.

Yeah give Tokugawa a bit rest, i'm ok with Hideyoshi.

It'd be cool if there were multiple leaders for each nation that could be chosen so it's not always the same face. Maybe even with different abilities to mix up each nation's lean towards victory conditions for different games.

I'm almost afraid they will pick Jadwiga again because she gained such a huge fanbase during the lifespan of VI. I remember seeing YT videos where people say how pretty she was or that she's the best leader in the game etc.

IV did this, but then again you could pick Stalin for Russia so maybe that was not their best move ever...
...either way I too thought multiple leaders was exactly what I wanted them to re-introduce to the franchise and then they did with the leader pass for VI. Now I'm not so sure anymore, it feels like a total chore to pick one over the other and totally change the gameplay of your favorite nation.

This is what I loved about Civ 6. The alternate leaders would keep you guessing.

For example if I was Rome and found out from a civ I sent a delegation to has trade with greece. This will make me think, Am I dealing with Pericle's Greece or Gorgo's Greece. also open to the Alternate leader concept

Napoleon ou Louis XIV pour la France, je ne comprends toujours pas pourquoi on a eut le droit à Catherine et Aliénor. Les américains ne le savent peut-être pas mais en France elles sont parmi nos figures historique les plus détesté, une surnommé "la reine noir" et l'autre étant directement responsable de la naissance de la rivalité franco-anglaise et aussi indirectement responsable de la future Guerre de Cent ans.

I would like to see the ability to customize your own civilization and leader.

Multiple leaders for each Civ is what I want to see. Each having their own particular spin on the base features of their civilizations. It would add longevity to the game and variety. Plus it would be nice to see someone else than Gandhi lead India by default.

I know that Civ 6 added another leader option for India in an expansion, and did so for several of the other Civs too, but what I want to see is at least 4 leaders for each Civ at launch. If the Civ in question can't muster at least 4 historically significant leader candidates, then maybe it shouldn't be a playable faction to begin with.

And yes, that means that many modern countries, including my own, would never be anything more than a city-state under these constraints, but I personally would still prefer it that way. It just feels more appropriate to the millennia-long scope of the game. YMMV of course.
