Erdwin and Serenica game? (story spoliers)

Okay I've played almost all of the Dragon Warrior/Quest games but I don't remember any where you are Erdwin and Serenica. I know from the ending I saw that the dragon warrior 3 hero is the son of Erdwin which leads to 1 and then 2 etc etc. But what game was Erdwin? or is that a game we will get to play?

Also can someone link me a video or site or something that compiled the whole story of the dragon quest series 1 through 11?

Spoilers: Erdwin is the first canonical character in the timeline. the first luminary. Eleven (Hero) is the reincarnation of him. through *time shenanigens* Eleven (Hero) subsequently creates the beginning of DQ 1, 2, and 3 (or 3,1,2 timeline wise)

so DQ11 is techically the first and last game in the timeline.

Erdwin is not in any games except 11 but presumably started the entirety of the series. since his actions led to the creation of the rest of series events

That said, Erdwin and his party (Serenica, Drustan, and Morcant) all have designs that strongly resemble Erdrick (and their party members) from DQ3. (This led to speculation that Erdwin was Erdrick[gamefaqs.gamespot.com] when the game first released)

You probably won't get to play as them in any official title in the future, however there is a mod that will let you play as Erdwin/Serenica/Drustan/Morcant in DQ11: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonquestxisdefinitiveedition/mods/2
