DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition

DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition

Switch version has no Crossbow Targets and First Person View. Will this one have them?
Kinda don't understand how can it be called Definitive Edition when it still has several things to be added... (Like 3DS 3D mode, it's as unique as 2D mode), and Tickington is lacking content from 3DS version...
But it also didn't had Crossbow Targets and First Person View. The later one saddens me, as i loved making screenshots of townsfolk faces.

But then i realized that i can do NewGame+ from any chapter at any time, keeping all non-key items. (Unique Items are not-Key Items, so you can farm Unique Weapons like Erik's Dagger, Mini-Medals, Skill-Seeds and Perfectionist Pearls just by restarting chapter in different mode and grabbing them from treasure chests... yes, they reset too. ALL treasure chests in the world reset whenever you swtich modes, so you can have farm rare and unique items even more) So it's more than a fair deal compared to original game.

I liked the crossbow targets- ofc with S we all know their location and their appeal to "find them" as a mini game with rewards loses appeal but then they should have come up with some other mini game...

I doubt they'll re-add the targets into the game just for the PC/PS4/XB1 players but the extra stuff more than makes up for the loss, in my opinion. Especially since you can get Super Seeds this time around. One time only but the "dupe trick" still works too so the NG+ idea can be even better.

I agree that all the extra stuff are awesome...

But it shouldn't be considered "Definitive" edition. Why not call it "Enchanced Edition"?

It wasn't the definitive version anyway, it has worse graphics than the existing version on Steam.

Yep.

I did say that on Dragon Quest's Reddit, and i got "Quit complaining, by the amount of content this is definetely the definitive edition!"

But i know they're wrong. Definitive edition should have not Two, but THREE modes. HD3D mode, 3D Mode and 2D mode. HD3D mode is the one we have on Steam and PS4, while 3D should be the 3DS graphics, which has unique location layout which provides a whole new perspective to the game.
A "Definitive" Edition will have the best graphics of any edition, and all the extras. This does not, it's just "Hey, Another Version of the Same Game You Already Own Edition Dragon Quest XI."

I like to call the Switch version "Extra Content Edition" and the PC version "Visually Enhanced Edition". I'd also like to recommend for Square Enix the "Get your Head out of your Rear End for Dummies Edition".

I'm glad that more and more people agree with me ^_^
I felt kinda bitter when i posted similar thing to Reddit a year ago, saying that this "Definitive Edition" is not Definitive at all, but they said "To us it's Definitive, stop complaining"
When i weren't complaining, i simply stated the contradiction. To be "Definitive" means to have nothing else to add, and "Definitive Edition" lacked in content present in PC version and 3DS versions. (By 3DS version content i mean 3DS 3D mode. I really love 3DS 3D Mode graphic style, as character models are more expressive)
