jasper fight is impossible
this is the first time im battling him when im trying to rescue erik. he 1hits my useless mage and 2hits the other members of my party. he crits to much has to high hp and acts 3 times as fast as my other characters. am i really going to be forced to grind on 100 xp mobs in 50+ battles JUST to beat this dumb encounter? i heard the game was piss easy without the harder enemies but with it on i just dont feel like playing but i dont want to remove it cuz for whatever stupid reason you cant put it back on again. game design in a nutshell.

Some tips:
  • Use Serena's "Buff" spell to boost defenses, especially Veronica's.
  • Sylvando's "Hustle Dance" ability will usually be enough to maintain your team's health. It will fully heal your entire party. It scales with the Charm stat.
  • Use Veronica's "Sap" spell to significantly reduce Jasper's defense. Defend when he is debuffed if you have trouble keeping her alive even with the defense buff.
  • Your main character spamming Unbridled Blade against the Sapped Jasper will make short work of him.

On an unrelated note, I love this game's difficulty and design. Never been a fan of the games that allow you to change difficulty midway because then what's the point if you continuously change the difficulty where difficulty matters the most?

If you're being that frustrated that early into the game I guarantee that you will not have a good time playing this game at this difficulty. There's no shame in playing at a lower difficulty. For example, I'm not that great at action-based games with no RPG elements, so I lower the difficulty on those because I know I will have a better time with it that way.

i cant even get hustle dance yet. i need like 15 skillpoints for that. i get around 150 xp per battle when im sitting on lvl 17 and im pretty sure i cant grind to 25 when im softlocked in that town and veronica gets 1hit with a high roll even with defence boost while serena dies instantly without it so im forced to buff her first. still, he gets to many crits. 6 tries in a row i lost to him getting a crit. i dont think of myself as being bad at turn based games, i play alot of it. from ff 7 or 10, the legend of heroes franchise, darkest dungeon, pit people you name it. turn based games is what i enjoy most, when a game can be challenging and fun at the same time then you got yourself a masterpiece but this is just dumb, you get to low xp to grind and the bosses hits to hard, hell even the succubus in the cave before 1hit 2 of my party members with their nuke spell. this is not good game design as there is no counterplay to getting instantly killed from 100% hp. if a game wants to add this kind of difficulty then at least make it easy to grind otherwise there is no real reason to play. there is no bar that tells me who is going to act next either wich is just dumb in todays standard. it removes any tactics that goes into it and you rely on luck and pray that the game does not fck you over

Wait... Really? Just to be certain, do you know that you can re-allot your points through a statue? You only need 34 points total to unlock Hustle Dance AND Charm+40.

You can unlock in this order: Hot Lick -> Sobering Slap -> Tap Dance -> Fuddle Dance.
After that, you can remove all of the unlocked Lithness panels and keep only Fuddle Dance through a statue. Using these points, you can unlock "Charm +40" which provides a hidden permanent 10P bonus. After that unlock "Hustle Dance."

If you really can't even get Hustle Dance at this point, you're probably really under-leveled.

i know i can remove things but it only allows me to remove an entire branch. i need 2 more skillpoints to get tap dance and im pretty sure that is in another branch. like i said im lvl 17. i get 150 xp from the encounters with the knights. it would take about 20-30 mins just to get a single lvl and that is not factoring in the enemy getting random crits and killing a party member instantly that may or may not be the clown who learns said dance

Nvm my last comment.

Unlock in this order:
Hypnowhip (whip) -> Attack Power +5 (whip) -> Lashings of Love (whip) -> Kiss Me Deadly.
Then remove the whip panels. Then get Charm +40. You now have an extra permanent 10P. Remove everything. Go the previous route, unlock Fuddle Dance and Hustle Dance.

Only 28P is needed to unlock Hustle Dance.

I beat Jasper at lvl 17 or 18. With a down Serena at the early phase of the battle then I revived her using yggrasil leaf but she died again. I just constantly debuff him with decelerate and even frizz so he can't cast any spells. Don't forget to use sword stance if you got it and the occasional buff in defense for your squishy characters. Another thing is to equip some healing items on each characters in case of emergency as jasper can also cast frizz on your party. Don't forget to use your pep powers wisely.
