Dualshock support?
I tried the demo but can't seem to get dual shock button prompt shown. I am using big picture mode and steam ui recognizes shows ps4 button prompt just not in game. I get xbox prompt in game.

Is this happening with anyone else?

I can confirm that I don't get DS4 button prompts either. And disabling controller support for it didn't help either. I'm controlling it via bluetooth, btw.

This is how most PC games work with Dualshock 4, as XInput is the standard and Steam wraps DS4 to XInput so the game thinks you're using an Xbox controller. Not a big deal, it's not hard to remember where A/B/X/Y are.

I'm just glad that more and more PC games these days natively support DS4 with or without Steam Config.

So to confirm: the game should work with Dualshock 4, but will only display Xbox button prompts by default.

For the record, modders have plans to update the PS4 Buttons Mod[www.nexusmods.com] for Definitive Edition. So if you'd like a way to make the button prompts match, that is coming down the line.

Any competent developer either detects the PS4 controller and switches the prompts automatically or at least gives you an option to which prompts you want to use regardless of controller. This is some 2009 crap right here!

sadly that's how a majority of PC games work, and opt to only have prompts for the worst of the 3 modern controller options (fight me) which means if you want to use a DS4 you'll have to learn to translate xbox promtpt to playstation ones, and if you want to use a switch pro controller (like i do) you can go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, because the support for those is even worse.

There has been discussion of making a Switch controller version of this mod as well. I believe Switch controller uses DirectInput like the PS4 controller does (Xbox Controller is Xinput, btw), so it should work AFAIK.

Right now, we're trying to update our mod-loading framework (DQXIHook) for Definitive Edition. That's been holding most things up at the moment. According to the developer of UE4 Universal Mod Unlocker, it looks like SE's done additional code obfuscation in Definitive Edition, particularly with calls to FPakFile::Find()[docs.unrealengine.com]

This has majorly changed these days at least with JP games. Bandai Namco and NISA and even Capcom have learned. SE hasn't it seems. More reason to wait for sales if I even remember.

This is odd, I had playstation Icons with my ps4 controller, Maybe it's cause I have it wired up however.

Could you please screenshot? I'm trying to troubleshoot this right now with my DS4 controller but haven't gotten good info whether or not DS4 icons are officially supported on this build.

Thank you!
