There was a 21:9 fix for the original version, but I found it had too many graphical glitches to be enjoyable. The game determined the placement of all screen elements relative to the left-hand side of the screen rather than the centre, but still assumed that the aspect ratio was 16:9.
This means that FMV cutscenes were on the left-hand side of the screen, all of the text boxes, menus, etc, were off-center to the left, and any screen transitions or effects (fade to black, etc), would only work in the 16:9 rectangle from the left-hand side of the screen, while the right side of the screen was untouched (showing whatever was underneath.) This was especially annoying, because EVERY battle starts with a fade-out/fade-in screen transition, and it looked buggy as hell every time.
I found it much more enjoyable to set it to 2560x1440 and play with black bars.
I suspect that this version will likely have the same issue.
Nobody owns ultrawide, just like Sony and Xbox still don't use 4K.
Ultrawide is the standard? Are you crazy? People still buy 1080p monitors, or own like 5 monitors.
You are an ignorant person.
I could care less for 4k, ultrwaide is prefered.
The magic word is "I" unfortunately for "you" most don't feel this way, there's a reason all TVs, consoles etc., are intended for 4K, not UW.
Exactly. Even bloody TV broadcasting is in HD 1080 at it's best! You have to pay extra for Netflix or Sky TV etc for 4k broadcasts -then it's only limited programs/films.
Own a 4K TV and all it does is upscale the image of HD etc. Just like the 'old days' of SD to HD
