New video on why Rollerdrome is a masterpiece

Raycevick just released a 40 minute long breakdown of this game, why its design is outstanding, and the tragedy of the studio's closure. Sharing below in case anyone wants to see some quality analysis of this game's mechanics, art, music, and influences.

At minute 8 or so I paused the video and bought the game from a steam key seller because it is currently more convenient for me than to pirate it. This game is a blast. I'm glad I tried it.

Yeah the keys are selling cheap I'm sure a few bucks right? Might as well have it on steam.

Holografix has Rollerdrome

the tricks being mapped to Lstick (analog) on controller is awkward. Rollerdrome is a really good game and fun, but in no way a masterpiece like Raycevick claims. A masterpiece is like MGSV or Horizon Zero Dawn.

I played it a bit... masterpiece didn't come to mind but it's alright. Worth a few bucks... sure.

yah, i got it 5 months after release. played it and then i found out about tricks. moving the L-analog left, left while in the air is little awkward. but the game is fun. not a masterpiece but a good game.

Ray makes decent vids if memory serves I got no idea why he's got such a hard on about this particular game. It's cool and it's got its particular gimmick but on the precipice of gaming greatness?

Very cool video. I went and hunted down a very cheap key on a gray market site as a result.

Hopefully 2K never sees any of that money. <3

Nah, don't give the publisher money for screwing the dev this hard. Even they themselves said don't buy the game. Absolutely in no way should 2K get another dime from this game for killing the studio that made this game
