The family outsider?
I don't know why, but for some reason, I feel like the PC is much more of an outsider, than even Kiyoko lets on (Who is outright telling you).

Putting the (one sided?) open marriage aside, Hime-Kinu wouldn't even have informed you of what transpired during the attack.
Then, you aren't even allowed to get some fogs and go on a Fox-hunt for Raphael,

Don't get me wrong, I can see why Kinu and her siblings would think of it like that. In fact, I'm still waiting for one of them to have an outburst at the PC for not being there for ten years. - Especially considering how the Pc barely ever got to interact with his other children (since a certain kit was always there, waiting for a chance to hog all the attention)

Will this get better in future updates(e: I mean future events here), or do you actually have to take Keros' offer to stop that kind of behavior from your family? Also, will we be able to interact with at least the four or five named ones in the future?

It will never stop, that's how the Kitsune stuff is written, you aren't the only one feeling annoyed by it, believe me.

What bugs me most is that I'm not even allowed to get a dog and go on a fox hunt for Raphael...

Don't get me started about what exactly bugs me the most about it, but I think if I had to pick something it's the fact the author of that stuff gets to decide for me how the champion reacts to all that ♥♥♥♥. It's already kinda underwhelming that the player has little control over the traits of the champion (though there are many good reasons for that) , but the Kitsune stuff even takes away any real choice in how to act, outside of simply ignoring the content. And the next thing ties into that and that is how freakin' invasive the whole thing is, if you don't like fetish foxes you can basically forget about not only Kiyo but also Cait, cause you get forced to deal with the stupid foxes to advance her quest. It's freakin' ridiculous in my opinion. And we aren't even talking about what I think of the actual content.
Let's just say reading "Raphael" already triggered me to write this rant...

I was hoping that if there was to be any new kitsune content, that it would include some changes for its currently gender locked content, and sex changing their god wasnt what I or anyone else was complaining about =(

It weirdly feels like the author had some idea for a whole separate game and got to use COC2 to bring it to life and I say that as someone who really enjoys Kiyoko and the other kitsune content.

This keeps coming up and it keeps being annoying. Kinu, unlike most of the Champion's offspring be they foxen or otherwise, is a grown woman, on the cusp of adulthood yes but a grown woman nonetheless, she wants to take care of her own problems, let her.

Raphael is Kinu's ♥♥♥♥ to deal with, her nemesis, her trial to overcome, the last obstacle on her road to independence., let her have it.

Doesn't necessarily mean you won't have a part in it, but it's not your fight. You have your own Demons to wrangle, literally.

I hope you don't think like that IRL too, because I'd go nuclear if THREE of my children got hurt by some random psycho.
And yes, Kinu is an adult, Aya and Asagiri, not so much. Not to mention the other unnamed children who have CO2 poisoning now.

So no, it's not just Kinu's problem, as ALL your children got hurt by this, not just your eldest.

Raphael poisons your MC's children?

He actually tries to burn them, but only Asagiri has burn wounds. However, if you are inside a burning building, you are bound to inhale CO2, which is poisonous.

And the MC can't do anything to this guy?

From what I hear, it's exactly the opposite.

The kitsune ideas came first and CoC2 is kinda built out of it. Which makes CoC2 kind of a backdrop for the kitsune story.

Which makes not the most sense to say imho since the Kitsune stuff is a totally different sort of game, basically, and doesn't fit in any of the "Fen Games" cause it is a kinetic novel and not a game at all, least a "CYOA" game. Even if the Kitsune stuff came first (which sounds a bit weird given that Savin afaik had thought about doing a sequel to CoC for quite a while) CoC 2 and the Kitsune content don't have that much in common.

Kitsune contet is basically fanfiction from one of the writers. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Raphael turns out to be the author's self-insert and ends up stealing Kyoko from the champion. That seems just the right alleyway of stupidity the Kitsune content is going for.

The best way to interact with the Kitsune content is to never go to sleep wearing the Amulet of Transference... ;)
Sheffer Jan 5, 2022 @ 10:25pm
I personally like the idea of the kitsune content but not so much how its executed. I also don't like how much of an outsider you are no matter how much you do or try to help. Even becoming their god's champion doesn't really help, in fact it makes it even worse because the "respect" they supposedly treat you with seems fake and condescending. Your constantly told you have no real say in pretty much anything. And don't even get me started on Kinu. Simply put the only thing that'd stop me irl from ending a threat to my kids like that is the long dirt nap. I've always been a fan of fox girls so I like the Kitsune. I like how they live in giant sakura trees, and i like the japanese feel to them...but man, everything else pretty much sucks.
