How do I load an exported save file?

I'm going to Data-To File-Load and then selecting the file but it just closes the file explorer, doing nothing to my current game through checking the character sheet or the selected file. Am I doing this wrong?

It creates a .coc2 save file wherever you select in the file explorer, you can then load the file by pressing the load button next to the save to file button.

Is it supposed to fill the save slot, place me into the save, or open a save after I hit back? Nothing seems to really happen.

Nevermind. I've been trying to transfer an old save. It is probably incompatible as loading works when I try saving and loading the file on a new game.
