It would be nice if there was a set of pictures to pick from just because it's far more convenient, but it's still unnecessary and therefore kinda a waste of resources.
Heck even a non Dev could post in the guides a flood of googled images that would fit for easy cut and paste use.
I am still saying that sooner or later PC portraits will be needed content to complete the game.
Don't get me wrong, I would be happy about it but I am basically 100% sure that this isn't considered something the game lacks by a. the Devs and b. the majority of the player base
One specific mod does that, and as cool as it is it's still really low quality pixel art. It wouldn't fit in the slightest with the design of the CoC 2 CGs.
Of course, the Devs could pay for having literally each and every potential body configuration drawn the same style and quality all the other art has, but that requires a lot of money just for that. I'm not saying it's impossible, I meant to point out that it is quite a lot to ask for.
I absolutely do not disagree on that, it would be hella amazing to have a visual representation of our champions. Just trying to be realistic here. On the other hand the Dev of Unholy Arts has just announced that their game will have animated scenes in the future, actually for all the possible player character avatars. That said atm there are 3 to pick from & it might be 3 even when the game is finished.
1 They commission an artist to draw all possible combinations
2 They commission an artist to draw each part in each color then have them put together when you add or subtract something
For most which do this it is 2 not 1 as 2 is much cheaper and quicker but leads to some of them having visual bugs when stuff overlaps. As it is set up right now we can imagine how our character(s) look in our heads. IF they were to be drawn for us then the game will lose that aspect of what the idealized version of it in the player's head is.
