Has anyone tested this on a Steamdeck?

Title, I am getting a steamdeck and would like to know if anyone has tried this on one. I dont think there is any reason it shouldn't work, but might need some alteration or something...

From what I have heard the text input for putting in your name etc is not ideal but it otherwise works well.

it's not formatted correctly and you have to make your own control scheme, but it's not a horrible experience.

It's different but still works. I'd wait a bit for more updates to the deck but I ran into a problem when my Dragon daughter was born and I had to name her. The deck wouldn't let me. But you can play it there.

Hold STEAM + X to manually open the keyboard for text inputs. Otherwise, its about the same as using an xbox contoller (still sucks atm unfortunately).

It's not bad, not ideal, but it works. My main issue is that reading large amounts of text off the steam deck screen is a little bit eye strain inducing. Only thing that wasn't immediately clear was that scrolling the text boxes is done with right analog -> and <-, not up and down. If you push it up and down, you'll inevitably push the stick right and left too, giving the impression that up and down work (just poorly). So yea, if you know scrolling is done with right and left, then you'll be fine.

Steam deck is a bit annoying to hold up in certain positions with one hand too.

Hmm that's strange, as the controller support works with right analog up and down for Xbox controllers.

It might be something related to steam deck because I think I've noticed this behavior in other games too.

Edited: by using the touch screen I was able to add a courser and type the name which fixed everything

In my case, I can't create a name after pressing "steam + X" to bring up the steam virtual keyboard, I type in a name using the virtual keyboard and no letters go in the text box for the name is at the start of the game. I tried even configuring one of the buttons to a left mouse trigger so that I can click the courser into the name box but that didn't work either. So I can't get past character creation currently.

If I'm going to play this game I just have to rely on Android version as I don't like playing this on my actual PC, Since it's not mobile, I was hoping to steam deck would fix that maybe in a future patch unless I'm missing something

The save function for "To File" then inside that "Save" does not seem to work on the steam deck as it won't actually save a file. It'll prompt it but not do anything when you click save
