How do I edit save files?
The biggest thing you need to know is no matter how you go about it if you increase your combat stats WITHOUT increasing your level it WILL softlock the game when you rest to level up since you will not be able to get past the stat allocation step (it will show that you have negative points to allocate and the next button will not activate). So if you want to level up naturally but also want the max stats per level before you rest revert everything to zero, level up, then just put back in all the edits. Some editors might be different but the one from the wiki works like that currently.

You can freely edit companion stats since they auto-level whenever you rest and their bar is flashing.

Also of note: HP and Resolve can be added as "bonus" modifiers to avoid the stat shuffling hassle, if you care the indicators on the portraits only go to 3 digits so a 4 digit HP/Res will result in a ... but it is still there if you check your stats and will show up if it ever drops to 3 digits.

Always use the export save file feature in the data menu to save a couple of copies when doing save edits so you have something to go back to if you ♥♥♥♥ up. The export files are independent of the save files created by the normal save feature but you can load the edited export file then save over your save slot if you don't want to export/import every time.

With a save editor, duh.
If you know what you're doing, plain notepad will do.

Google COC2 Save Editor. There are a few but none are up to current release so some things may have changed. But most of the basic stuff like editing corruption, adding money or items, and general body modification work fine. I recommend using an external save file just to be safe. Some changes can break the game (especially adjusting in game character stats)
