Flatspace Updated to v1.12

Greetings Starpilots!

The original Flatspace game has been updated today.

A small but useful update, the in-game music is now loaded only when needed upon entering a sector, which massively reduces memory load. This opens the door for future music packs, or resurrecting the original 3 Flatspace Music Packs, which have never been available on Steam. This now matches the behaviour of Flatspace IIk v1.06 onwards.

There's also a fix to the music volume setting, which didn't update the title music correctly.

Update In Progress

Hi All, A little update is in progress. The biggest change is the addition of Achievements. There are so many options for this but in the end I've added one for each level at each difficulty - for some people completing a level on Rookie is still an achievement. There are achievements for completing each training mission on Elite too, and for completing the campaign. These are public, so it reveals more of the story in advance, but the mission names are fun to know. I'll probably add Stats at some point t...

I have an orphaned nfo file from 2007 for a game with the same name from the same developer. The screenshots on archive.org show a game with similar, but not identical, graphics. How is this considered a new game?

Taskforce v1.07 Update and Options

Hi Folks! Taskforce v1.07 went live today. This is primarily an engine update, so there aren't many gameplay changes, but a few things changed in the background. Engine settings for expert users are now in Options.txt rather than Config.txt. This means that options are reset and your first play will reset the intro (sorry!), but the upside is that persistent game options, and game saves, will now be stored in the Steam Cloud.
