Played this game for about an hour and loved every second.

We'll look into it! We wanna avoid overloading the UI with tons of elements but you're not the first to ask about this feature specifically!

I was thinking about this, and you could easily add it, and not cause dissoance between game and ui

you could add it like a VHS progress meter at the bottom of the screen, or a timer at the top in vhs style. ( VCR OSD font )
or if you wanted minimal, just a thin white playbar line like youtube that ytou can glance at under your character

this game is so amazing ill be willing to pay a full 60$ when it fully releases

The only thing i dont like about the game is sometime on unbeatable when flipping from side to side event thing, the bat is like 0.1 to be on point already. It is kinda hard to predict that unless you play the song multiple times. I suggest you make an indication for it.

Good news for you - we're giving you all 5 episodes of [white label] for completely free :> but it'd mean the world if you could support DEMO TAPES and our eventual slacker backer campaign down the line (as well as the full game release!)

as for the side-to-side thing, there's a indicator but it needs more work to be more visible to people, which is something we're looking into!

To hear so much to be free while also giving us such a well done game is really great news. I can't wait to eventually get good enough at this format to try out some of your "Unbeatable" versions of the songs!
