Is Key Ghosting Intentional
For context my controls have the keys J and K set for the bottom row attack action.

When holding the key for an action, any other keys that work for that action will not register (so pressing and holding J then pressing K will only result in one attack instead of two). This makes the button mash enemies harder to kill and the stream sections on Proper Rhythm Remix harder to pass, as you can't just alternate J and K quick motion with your index and middle fingers, you have to fully lift each finger off the previous key so that it doesn't "ghost" the input for the next key.

I hope this design was unintentional or is planned to be changed later, because it is an annoying gripe I have with this otherwise excellent game :,)

Are you sure it's not your keyboard? Mechanical keyboards have N-key rollover, but membrane ones don't.

I probably should have mentioned that too lol. No this keyboard layout doesn't ghost those keys for other games. I've also used an online tool to see if it registers both keys being pressed (it does). That definitely could have been an issue though, so thanks for reminding me to clear that up :)

Ah, then it's just an oversight by the devs. Nice job finding that, I'm sure it'll be redone properly later. Hopefully.
glad at least my keyboard isn't broken, this makes indeed some "stream" parts very hard ( like in must die! remix at unbeatable difficulty )
After seeing your post I just tried to single tap to death this stream part and made it first try.
Sad to have 3 keys bound to an action but have to use only one or else key ghosting
I have the exact same problem with Proper Rhythm (must die remix) on unbeatable diff
where the notes comes in a rapid sequence I just die, because the game fails to register one note and then no matter how fast I spam tap the keys I just miss the following notes anyways... It feels like it tries to hit the "too late"
I have managed to beat it on hard and all other songs on unbeatable (that I have played so far), this song is "impossible" for me to play... for whatever reason...
And I do not have this mashing problem in muse dash for example.

There is actually a delay on key presses. If you miss a note it's going to make your next note miss as there is like a forced .2-.5 second delay where you aren't allowed to press notes. The problem is it actually allows your note to "continue" but it places it at the end of that time out and forces you to miss more and more notes as the delay takes effect. So if you are in a rapid part of a song and miss a note, it'll screw you even if you hit it in the right pattern from the forced delay.

It's really quite bothersome.

This, still exists and it's the only problem I have with the game. Makes button mashing section of Proper Rhythm Must Die Remix (Unbeatable difficulty) impossible, or any button mashing better say, and makes other levels needlessly hard like Forever When (Patch V1.0.1 that nerfed Proper Rhythm Remix did nothing).
I didn't have this problem on Arcade Mix (versions before V1.04), but it started on V1.04 and then carried over to [white label].
I'm playing with a DualShock 4 controller if it matters.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
