Sound volume setting bug?
I usually keep the water volume low, but after this update, every time I launch the game it gets louder.
I tested UI and other volume in the same situation, they get louder too.
It's fixed by touching volume bar even a bit, but it's annoying.
Is it just for me?

I play without any sounds but every time I launch the game the volume is loud. The settings on the sound options are all on minimum when I look and after just moving one from minimum up a bit and back down it remembers it's supposed to be silent. It's annoying for sure.

I too am experiencing this after the update that went along with the Spongebob DLC.

Just adding to this:
Example (After DLC install):
Set master audio slider to left side (lowest volume)
Return to Main Menu
Confirm audio is "off"/no audible sound
Shutdown Powerwash
Confirm in appdata config that Master Audio is set to a very low number (Mine was 1.xxxxxx)
Start Powerwash
Bug: Audio config setting is NOT remembered, and returns to default (70%?). Config remains at 1.xxxxxx.
Work around: Sliding Master Audio to any other %, and returning it to the very left fixes the issue.

Speculation: Is a integer to the millionth not valid on startup read of config? Or, is the config file invalid or the reader marking the setting as invalid for some reason?

Same problem, game starts with what seems to be max volume even though I am at about 30 %. Moving the slider slightly makes the game apply the setting.

Same here. The game blasts you with max volume every time you restsart the game.

My friend and I are also experiencing this.

Having this issue. Fix is simply to interact with the volume slider, which resets audio to be same level as slider position.

While waiting for a fix for this issue, you could adjust the volume of the game in relation to the rest of your OS through Volume Mixer (in Windows; might go by something else in other OS). There should be a speaker icon in the task bar, usually next to the date/time area. Right clicking on it will bring up a menu, choose Open volume mixer.

Same issue here. Everytime i enter another PWS the in-game master sound is maxed out though the setting shows my preferred sound volume. I have to manually adjust the setting every time to decrease volume
Working around with the Windows Volume setting is no option for me because I want to listen to podcast simultaneously on the same PC.

Volume mixer, my dude, not just volume setting. The mixer allows you to adjust the volume of one program (in this case, PowerWash Simulator) without affecting the volume of other programs (ie. whatever you're listening to your podcasts with). Whatever program's volume you want to adjust with it only has to be running at the time.
