Is it worth getting at full price?
So, I've missed getting this at a discounted price for the summer sale. I'm eyeing it now but not sure if I should impulse buy it at full price or just wait for it to go on sale again at some point. Is it worth buying it at full price? how much content is there in the core game apart from DLC's? Tell me what to do. Thx :LennyCat:

Yes. 300 hours = More than...whatever it's going for at full price these days worth of amusement. It's a great background game when you're listening to podcasts or whatnot.

A heads up for OP. Powerwash sim is on sale on Humble bundle right now. It's only for the next 5 days so if you want the steam key for it now's the time to buy.

Unrelated but how are people getting so many hours in the game? Are you guys repeating the same levels over and over? I'm at about 100 hours in after doing every single project including all the freeplay and special ones, several maps done more than once, and 2 of the paid dlc which only got me a couple hours of work since the payed dlc didn't actually give me much. What are you doing to get 4 times that time?

Edit: btw I'm not saying this means the game isn't worth buying. 100 hours is way more than you get out of most games for a steeper price. I'm just a bit skeptical that these 400+ hours is what most players experience.

I've purchased it already yesterday. Installed but haven't played it yet. Yeah, one of my questions was how long is the actual content, excluding the DLC's. Like, how many maps is there, if that's how it works. These people that have hundreds of hours, are those hours exclusively from start to finish or going back to maps you already done before and re-doing them? Be nice to have gotten an answer on how much content there really is. It sounds like those with, 3,4, 500 hours in are just basically replaying the game over and over and over again. Partly for achievements too I guess.

I'll load it up later tonight or tomorrow and see how it's like. Too lazy now :hellebore:

Really it depends how fast you're trying to be. I've seen people say levels that have taken me 40 minutes say it took them a few hours. Iirc I got like 50-70ish out of my first play through.

so my 428 hours are for the game and content it comes with plus all the dlc released, both free and paid up to and including Alice in Wonderland. i am sure i am slower playing than others, but i just went at my own comfy speed, no rush. and yes, i did play almost everything a second time and even a third (playground). i can't even guess the time to just have played everything once. also, i rarely used chemicals as i didn't want to pay for them. so i did use them more often in free play where the chemicals are free of charge. the egyptian pyramid content required chemicals on the exterior or it took forever, so i used them in a second play (free play) but only the red and tri-nozzle in my first time through.

I have 1100 hours in this game! I did buy it in early access, so it was $5 cheaper, but with the hours I have in this game I would've spent way more if I had to
