that's also something I didn't think about, user's who are quest are gonna have to buy it a second time full price
The Meta Quest platform is the most lucrative of the 3 platforms we have, namely mentioned Quest, PSVR2 and last of the bunch PCVR. They also might have got some funding from Meta itself to make it an exclusive title on Quest. Nothing new and common practise in the gaming industry.
Don't get me wrong I am very disapointed too as my main HMD is the Valve Index and people asking for VR on Steam for ages just to get the answer "Yes we do VR but not on YOUR platform you are constantly asking for." I bet some actually bought it here on Steam in the hope this game might get a VR update and support the devs to show "we want VR".
it sucks to, because of how many companies are going to quest, and then so many games that come out die due to lack of content because of the limitations of the games because of quest's hardware even with a link cable.
Depending on the contract it could also be that square made the publishing Deal with meta, and the devs had no say in it.
And that they can offer licensed content is mostly Part of the publishing deal as well, as I doubt that the devs would be able to even get to the people who handle such deals.
questionable at best, they can do cross over's with almost any company, yet its a "decision" to bring it pcvr? when they know well they can easily get more money out of both markets easily.
A year later and this is exactly what has happened, the VR version on the Quest 3 has been discontinued due to it not being very popular.
I believe the VR version was run by a different company..like many other vr games that come out, people take up big projects/games and try to make it vr and then wonder why it flops.
WHEN YOU ONLY FOCUS ON QUEST AND META.
If you would bring it to pc, your play base and count of games play, would SKY ROCKET.
but no..lets just go to quest and meta, cause its easier and they can shill out and beg like the good corporate rats they are.
Gotta make sure those stock holders are satisfied!
bone lab is on quest and pcvr so they have no excuse
