new content - how to change power washer?

I seem to be stuck with the crappy started washer on the new content. I may have just missed something but how do you change it? I've bought all of the washers and accessories, but I only have the default one to choose from in the 'e' menu. It seems to be a bug, but maybe I missed a menu option or something. Anyone able to help?

You can't. In the special levels you're stuck with whatever the game gives you. I have no idea why those special levels are even a thing and not just part of the regular career/free play modes. But here we are.

I've noticed that too...I bought several metal cleaning solutions, and they didn't go into my inventory for the mini golf course!

Because special requests have no place in the main campaign and people have been wanting more special levels to go alongside the mars level. Additionally when picking the levels i believe it shows you what equipment you have available, like the challenge levels.

Yeah, it shows you what equipment you have available. But that's the problem. Limiting the available equipment isn't challenging. It's not fun and tedious. So far I've played a little of the fountain level and it seems like a fun level. But because of the garbage washer we have to use I'll never play that level again unless some future update makes replaying it worth it. It just seems like a waste of a good level. But I guess it would be fine if finishing the level in the special section unlocks it in free play.

Took the words right out of my mouth. The fountain was an interesting level, but I'll never play it again so long as it's locked to special mode with that stupid washer.

There's no reason the special levels shouldn't be available in free play once we've beaten them. No reason at all.

So far I'm hating the fountain, mainly cause of the washer limitation. Kinda hate all of them though. A ton of tiny spots and hard to reach places on the Train, the size of the Golf Course with the washer you have to use, then fountain again size + washer. I also feel like the bar was being way more unforgiving than usual. Like several times on all three of the jobs I had spots that no matter how many times i hit TAB i couldn't see a speck of dirt and i just had to constantly spray and run around hoping to get that last bit cleaned. Been pretty annoying

I agree with SIKO_Killa. While I'm very happy to have something new to wash, and they're beautiful and colorful after completing them, I was really frustrated by the enclosed spaces of the steam engine (I kept thinking a water pick would be better than a power washer lol). The mini golf course was actually cool, but I did wish I could have used metal soap a couple of times. The fountain, I'm finding very tedious because of the very large spaces that I have to use a yellow nozzle on to clean.

Honestly, though, I feel bad complaining because I've been wanting new content for so long. I just wish they had made it for campaign instead of special. Although, I also have been one of those people wanting that area to have more than just the Mars rover lol

I don't care if they are in special or career. I just want them all unlocked in free play so we can use all washers. And the tight spaces are an issue now mostly because the aim mode screwed up regular mode.

Exactly!

They're not bad maps. The mini golf course might be my favourite in the whole game. But it's just a bone-headed travesty that we can't have them unlocked in free play.

You should really try the gold course one instead, it's a great map. The fountain is easily one of the worst maps they've added because it's painfully tedious, even the steam engine map isn't as bad and it has a lot of enclosed spaces.

My problem is... I restarted the career. I got the money for the 3rd washer when i finished the specials but I was only able to buy the 2nd washer and the 3rd was blocked because I didn't have enough stars. Which I should have gotten with the detached house. But when I finished it, it still said I needed 25 more stars. When I got to the 2nd level (backyard) it said I needed 25 stars to unlock. I've done enough levels to have gotten the 25 stars but now it's saying I need 5 more. it wasn't like that before the update. I don't like it. I want my 3rd washer back =/

I place down agreements.
It would be better if you had to finish the level with whatever washer they give and then let you use your own washer from then on. The new levels don't even need to added to freeplay, they can stay in the specials section.
