Game starts on random monitor

I'm wondering if anyone else has this experience playing with multiple monitors. Whenever I start up the game after having restarted my computer, I have no idea which monitor it will start on. I always play it on my primary monitor (#1 in windows display settings and Nvidia control panel) but when I start playing again for the first time after restarting my computer the game will sometimes start on monitor 2, sometimes 3, very rarely on 1.

It's easy enough to change it back to 1, but a bit weird and annoying that it seems to pick a monitor at random.

Goto options and video settings, select the right screen you want to use and then set the game to windowed mode.

Now restart the game, it should launch on the old monitor but thats because it currently remembers the old window position. Just drag the game window to the correct monitor and switch back to fullscreen/borderless and the game should start on the right window.

I can get it onto my preferred monitor easier than that, it just seems to forget once I restart my computer.

This is still an issue since the march 2nd patch, but I never got a response.... from discussion on it in another post. I just updated that response, again. Also I don't need/want work arounds to unfix my pc when all other games are directed to the main/correct monitor....without fail. This just needs to be addressed and fixed.

Exactly, while it only takes me like 20-30 seconds to fix, I shouldn't have to ever fix it in the first place

bumping this, recently got the game, and I am having the same problem, I like the game, but this crap is annoying.

I have the same issue but even when I get it on the monitor I want to use, if I click on another window, it will jump back to the other monitor. It stopped me from playing the game.

Are you using windowed or full screen? Does this happen when you alt tab or specifically when clicking in a new window?

It's hard to describe exactly, but alt tabbing tends to work fine for me while just moving my cursor beyond the game window and clicking in a different app can cause problems.

Mine started doing it last 2 days for no reason. The whole switch to window and drag then go fullscreen just makes the game switch back to the 2nd monitor in fullscreen. Game's really making me mad since this is the only game that has this issue. Everything is set correctly is windows and no other game has this issue.

Sending this back to the top. I have this issue on a regular basis, same as everyone, Windows has the correct monitor settings, and it's only Powerwash Sim that does this. My theory is there's a problem with how the game renders the "Maximized Window" option in Fullscreen Mode. Looking at the Player.log file inside "\AppData\LocalLow\FuturLab\PowerWash Simulator" it always boots with the following error:

MaximizedWindow is not currently supported on Windows, setting to FullsceenWindow instead

However this is just a temporary thing, and the game never actually makes a settings change. At the moment, the "fix" is to select the correct monitor, and change the Fullscreen Mode to "Full Screen Window".

Still an issue, like over half the time it will start up on my 2nd monitor and I have to go into settings to change it.

I was having this issue and looking in settings I was able to change my display screen to the correct monitor and it seems like it’s the fix ?

I don't think you understand the problem. This is the "fix" until it happens again and it keeps happening again and again. No offense, but it's kind of like saying "Oh, the door to your dishwasher opens itself every time you start a cycle? I found the fix, you go over to it and close it."
