Any way to stop receiving messages?

I can't stand the text messages that keep popping up on the side of the screen. Is there any way to disable them? I just wanna relax and the constant pings are making me anxious.

It's ok the first time around, I've played from start to finish no fewer than 11 times.

I wish you could switch the messages off.

I got particularly silly when I got to the one that tells us to stop asking questions and just keep washing.

I think the lore in this game is the mayor and their government are both really bloated and really stupid.

You only get them from when you start until your final one at 80%. Long breaks in between, especially in the bigger jobs.

you don't get them in free play mode, can you just play that mode instead?
