I watched Markiplier play this and there are missing persons posters all over, weird sounds, screaming.
Idk what kind of "ambiance" is in your war torn ♥♥♥♥ hole country, but here, we don't have whispers, screams, or explosions. I mean, some of the locations are described as "haunted" or key locations for Bigfoot.
I certainly hope you know that the vast majority of what you described are edited in by his editors right? It's all a gaff. Yes missing posters. For a cat. No whispers. There is an odd draft in your garage. No screams, no explosions. Yes a location is described as haunted but literally every message you get contradicts this. And bigfoot is not horror related. As for explosions, assuming you don't mean the obviously fake explosions in his videos and are referring to the booming sound in the tree-house level, Tree knocks (bigfoot) or volcanic activity (the location has a volcano that's why everything is black) take your pick.
you may choose to play semantics with words but we are on a video game platform talking about a video game that is not in the horror genre nor is it in any way shape or form horror anything about it. spooky music and stupid npc convos does not equal a horror game or a game with horror elements. YOUR topic is whats with all the horror stuff, after you are informed there are no horror elements you decide that everyone else is wrong... have fun... good luck.
Man this is why modern horror movies are utter ♥♥♥♥. Gore doesn't make something horror. Psychological effects do, gas lighting adds to it, suspenseful sounds, etc. Add some infrasound for awhile in the background and you have a paranoid or weirded out audience.
If blood and gore signifies horror then surgeon games must be the most horrific games out there same with most fps.
Granted sounds like after all the vids people have made of this game at most it seems to just have some spooky lore. Which honestly Kinda wish there was some paranormal element to the game play. Old owner just barely in the players field of view then gone when we turn. Objects that do the same, etc. Just little things.
