Fell off the map. Need help.

I fell off the map. Normally I would pause and fast travel right away. This time I set the deck down and I didn't pause for some reason. Came back a minute later and paused it to fast travel and none of the icons are on the map. I looked at the filter and everything is selected. So I can't fast travel out. Did a little google search and they say to change difficulty. Can't figure out where that is. They say it's where you can change the map. Can't find that. So I select the Freeplay and it puts me at the lodge. Nice. Now, back to the story. Here's my next problem, I can't select the story mode. It just goes right back to continue. How can I get back to story mode?

UPDATE: While I was waiting I restarted the deck. Then loaded up the game and at the screen where you can select continue, story, free, and multi player modes I was able to select the story mode. So I did and I started the game that way. Ugh, I was still falling. Went back to the main menu and again couldn't select story. So I did the restart process and got back to the story mode. Changed the difficulty and started the game. It was back to the lodge. Not falling. Now I did the restart process and changed the diff no problem. It's back to normal again.

Glad you were able to fix it, though it shouldn’t have happened. Did the fall occur during story mode, free hunt, or multiplayer?

i have a post in here about the same thing i tried the change difficulty and it got me back to the cabin but i still fall thru at all my neighbors borders
