Have Confirmed Disappearing Blood Trails

Today I took at shot at an Elk at 500+ metres, hit lungs, bubbles in blood and went to the next blood when it immediately disappeared. Tried to retrack for 45 mins. Nothing. Gone.
So, I then took another 380m shot at a mule deer, hunter sense on, blood everywhere, marked the shot location and approached. Again I found blood and a good lung shot, wlked towards next blood trail and the whole lot once again disappeared. Again I went searching for 30 mins to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Gone.
Fast forward an hour and I replicated this issue SEVERAL times. White Deer, Mule, Elk etc.
Rebooted pc and game of course, problem returns.
Unless I'm close enough to pat the animal (0-200m) blood will disappear.
I have been playing for days and this has never been a problem, I have tracked 800+m shots without issue beforehand.
Bizarre.

Yep. Happened today with a bull moose I shot. Hopefully the patch will fix this.

Elk is in error. Only one of the four was found and fell 10 meters from the sky. And I've always had trouble finding blood

I shot a buck yesterday from the trophy house 440 meter distance. Lungeshot and the blood was visible and the trail too. I was able to follow the trail to the cadaver. I shot a lot of other animals at 300+ meters too with no bug. So I don't think the bug has to do with distance, but more with the zone where it happened.

Yeah, this is SUPER frustrating. Damn near unplayable until fixed. I came across two different herds of all female white tail. shot several and had disappearing blood trails. I'm going to experiment to see if it may be only females. haven't had it happen with any bucks yet.

Totally useless. Shot 4 star Big Horn and couldn't track it because the tracks disappeared about 100 yards out. This is AFTER literally watching the animal drop after running about 50 yards. The animal was NOT where I saw him fall, which was marked. The blood trail went about 70 degrees off of where the animal ran and fell. Of course, according to the tracking info, this was a frothy lung shot, and the animal should have fell within 50 yards of the hit. I've YET to find one that falls within that distance.

I've noticed on a lot of videos that those big horns like to slide down the hill. One guys slid a good 100 yds down the hill from where he dropped.

This was on flat ground, and blood trails were there one minute and gone the next.

True, doubt it recycled by game, if it is it's easy to fix, be patience they can correct it soon.

WHy you shooting from so far out? I only ask because I have only lost Blood trails on long shots.. any shot under 200 I normally can tracks for a LONG time if I don't get a kill shot right off.. Found this out when I used the wrong rifle on the first shot and use the .223 on an ELk.. I tracked him FOREVER:0

Wondering if theres a LOD issue on the downed animals, i've had a few run off some with multiple shots...blood trail stops so i give up looking. Then returning to the area later the animal is there where the blood stopped previously, laying dead.

Game is supposedly realistic as can be. That should mean if I put a bullet in a heart/lung shot into a calm animal, it shouldn't run for 500 meters. An animal that isn't spooked and is hit with a heart/lung shot, will 99% of the time drop where it is hit. This goes for a shot of 5 meters or a shot of 500 meters.

I agree with this. The distance they always run is absurd and not commensurate with the circumstances. Heart shots should drop them on the spot, or certainly within a few metres of where it was standing when hit.

It's like they're trying to maintain difficulty rather than go for realism. But we should be rewarded for good shooting, especially as the gun sway is absurd too...

to be fair; we also should not rewareded using not the ideal caliber and wondering why a animal runs 200m ;-) I agree with heart shots to be fatal; but all my haert shots were fatal...animals dont run more than 50m with them !
it may be if there is no energy left and you only scratch the heart area that the game does not calculate this as fatal.

We does not have the 30-06 for US map or our 8x57 for Transylvania yet ! They are much better suited for must Tier5
