How to equip scope to Grandpa's Old Rifle at the start?

This is one of the first quests. However, after 20 solid minutes of fiddling and getting more frustrated I decided to just ask lol

I found the rifle in the storage box (this is the only thing in the box). I equip it and then I don't see a scope anywhere or any options to modify the gun in any way other than changing it's ammo.

If I look in the shop, it says I already own a scope, but I don't see it anywhere nor do I even see an option to add attachments or anything else to the gun at all aside from ammo.

What am I missing?

There should be slot next to the rifle slot on top (when interacting with the safe). So instead of clicking the weapon slot to choose gun, click the little slot next to it so see scopes. If that makes sense...

If no scope shows up, I'm not sure what it could be. If it says you own one in the shop, it should show.

Whomever took that shot has good taste as he/she is using Overgaard on both rifles. Doin' it right :)

Yeah, my game was bugged. That button didn't do anything for me, I removed the save and started a new game and it worked.

Sorry you had a bug that early, but maybe good it wasn't further into the game, if you had to restart. Only one save here. Hope you don't experience more! I haven't experienced any such bugs as I can recall *knock on wood*
