Callers - calling multiple species or fitness levels
All I know from the game hints is that the tell tale mark should be kept central - ie a decent pause between each sounding of the call.

I have seen enough animals respond to a call to know it works as it should.

But -

1 - if you take a caller that has two or three variations, eg female/low fitness/high fitness, and call all three variations at the same time, do they run/work independently?

2 - if I use two or three separate callers at the same time, do they also run/work independently?

Or - can you have only one caller and its variation acting at once?

I hope that makes sense, any information would be great.

I have used the same caller to call in both (high fit and low) and they work independent of each other. I just left a little time between so its not right after the other. Sometimes if you cant get close enough, its great for seeing what is actually in the herd. Can then proceed to use the call you want (high or low)

I have also called 2 different animals species in with different callers. Seems like animals don't notice other callers.

On the new map, for some species, only the matures are coming to calls (not sure if design or bug?) on all other maps, that isn't the case.

Calls aren't a 100% sure thing either, sometimes animals wont come to calls right away. Normally 1-2 animals will come to the first call but others will with more calling. If there are 5 low fit animals, it might take 3-5 calls before they all start coming in. That's why there is often 20M or so between animals coming into calls.

Again, thank you for a brilliant write up. It confirms what I thought was true. The caller indicator working independently for each call/variation of call suggested you can toot away merrily!

I've basically been hunting on NZ since it came out, and have felt that low fitness calling isn't as reliable as high fitness calling... female calling however is very reliable, as I've just called out five female Fallow deer just to see how many of a herd I could attract.

I've started to realise something wasn't right on the NZ maps... trying to call out the low fitness animals, I am only getting 1* matures to respond (just done it on a herd right now), if I call out high fitness, again, it's only the matures that respond.

I think this deserves a new discussion to see if anyone else is affected.

I think its a known bug? Not sure though as devs don't seem to be responding to that much these days. On all other maps you can call all animals. On NZ, it seems like its only matures that respond with some species.
