Up to date weapons chart?
Hello there folks.

I'm looking for an up to date, or almost, chart of the weapons joules etc? I could find some, but some weapons are missing from there. I'm beginning the game so I don't have alot of money to spend and I'd rather check before buying.

Thank you!

I don't have a chart but the Steyr Sm12 and Steyr Monobloc are two rifles I highly recommend.

Can someone tell me if the new bows (not the crossbows) are buyable in the base game after buying the africa expansion? And in what Tier do they go? Are some bows covering multiple tiers at once and are those in the base game map as well? Would be awesome.

Thank you as well

You get 1 compound bow with base game that is used for tiers 2-5. You get 2 more with the purchase of Tikamoon Plains. It's really just 1 with 2 different skins. They can be used for tiers 2-6.

EDIT: Yes, you can take all your weapons to any map..

And a 1-4 obtainable in Rehgallags Cabin after completing 4 missions.

Related to this, in the game, there is no visible or readable or discoverable difference between the Steyr Carbon CLII at $5590, and the Remington Guide Rifle at $1850. Both are identical in displayed data. Both are Tier 6, and the Guide is a .350, while the Steyr is a .338. Logic would say a .350 is a better round than the .338. Keep in mind, the game does not give ballistic info on any weapon, no chance to try them out on a firing range, so as a player, not familiar with the technical aspects of ballistics and all the other parameters hunters use for determining a weapon's rating.
Simply put, why spend the extra on a lesser weapon? Remember, I don't know from the game, and it does not tell the player why the cost is higher.
Looking for insights into this, as that website above has a lot of data about all the weapons, so you can compare every single aspect they have. I mean pages of data.
In game it's a price, a tier, a clip and an optic.
So I wonder, why spend the extra on a "lesser" weapon? Thanks!
.350 is probably the worst tier 6 weapon, loses so much power. Unless you are shooting within 100m I would stick with the .300 or .338 because of their ability to carry their energy through their target.

No problem, its a great bit of info to check quicker than using the encyclopedia.

I also use it if I want to remember a animal I want to keep a eye on. Remembering to check again is my problem lol. If you shift click on a animal icon you can add info to it and change the colour so it will stand out to you.

While bullet energy is a huge factor for your choice, i always like to add a table with the bullet weighs.
Hopefully we get more different cartridges and tips for a rifle...someday ;-)

I guess my response, besides thanks, is in-game, with the info provided, there is no way to tell the differences between the weapons, why they differ in cost as they do, what one weapon's advantage is over another, etc. Yes, outside the game you can find out, but there's no assurance, that I see, that the "differences" are really reflected in the game. Am I wrong, or does the game lack any ballistic information at all; yes you can zero in, but no data, no numbers, no charts; these have to already be in the game, to control everything, so it would be helpful, would it not, to have some sort of technical access to the data to better understand why one rifle is $4,000 more than a similar weapon. I'm sure there's players who would like to (don't know the proper term) make their own ammo and components.
Thanks.

? the energy table on this website and in my table are made ingame at the range !
And the bullet weigh i find out from the pictures of the cartridges in the game ecyclopedia.
Idk why the Dev´s do not provide us with this; we had to do it ourself.

What we dont know are the hitboxes of the animals.

All bullets loose in real more energy than in game; that´s why you can kill animals in 900m :-(
