Capturing of the Legend

I’m stuck on the first part of the Capturing of the Legend mission in Lintukoto Reserve. I can’t figure out which large species deer prefers swamps. I’ve tried killing the roe, red, and fallow deer in the swamp area on the western side of the map, but it didn’t check off the list. I even tried a reindeer even though it wasn’t in the swamp area. I got the large deer species that prefers the forest quite easily, but I’m stumped on finding which deer species prefers the swamp area. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I couldn’t find anything on the internet either. Thanks in advance.

should be red deer , imo.
I´m on the 250m roe deer and all ammo from the .243 (Tier 5 ) is not enough at this range !! 4 hits, all little blood...white dot in hunter sense.
switched to 6,5 creedmoore....its nerved beow the 7mm Rem now ...lol

lol, the 6.5 was´nt also enough energy .....on a roe deer !! i try the .270 now.
The 6.5 was´nt even enough for the Lynx at 260m.

It's a pleasure. I also chased every deer then decided to go back and find the clue. i was equally amazed when I saw moose.

Saw moose in swamp, but chose to work it out because I couldn’t find clues in cabin. Where were the clues in cabin? Will try the moose in swamp when I get time later. Thanks.

I just harvested an _adult_ specimen of the first one and I did not get credit for it in Birth of a Legend. I will go for the second type to see if I have better luck with that. The devs of CotW have also issues with fetch quests. As mentionned elsewhere, maybe that animal was identifying as something else. I should have checked its pronouns. lol

Finally finished Capturing of the Legend and am now working on Birth of the Legend. Thanks for everybody’s help..

Thanks, I'll try that. I see the problem is language related, prime of age is not mature. On human scale prime of age is somewhere between 20 and 30 years old.
