Next map speculation - Summer `24

I know, I know ! New Zealand has only been out a week ! But with the next one apparently coming this summer, we can discuss where we think it will be.

There was a screenshot attached to the Map Pack 2, but it seems to have changed, and I`m sure I read in a youtube comment, someone thought they saw an Crocodile in a thumbnail ?!

If anyone has any info, or images that have come out, please post them here.

I think the next one will be Norway.

I would like to see a map in central Northern Canada. With Snow and tundra in the north of the map. In the south of the map, better weather and more woods and foliage. Then put in these species we have in this area. Most all new to this game and not in the competitions game. Musk Ox, Polar Bear, Ptarmigan, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Blacktail Deer, Reindeer, Cougar, Snow Geese, Coyote's, arctic fox, Walrus. Brant's, Moose, Grizzly, Caribou, Elk, Varying Hare, European Hare, Snowshoe Hare, Wood Duck, Black Timber wolf, which are the largest of all the Timber wolf sub species in the world. They're in Alaska too. Alaskan's will verify how horrifyingly big these all black wolves are.

That sounds like an amazing map idea, its definetly not in the running for this year, but i think AS was a little lack lust and small, a huge arctic canada map would be awesome, with some forested highlands and icy shores they could add a legendary polar bear and a massive gun for grizzlies and polar bears (maybe walrus too, pretty sure theyve got very thick blubber.)

To be honest, the current mood is not at all in favor of new maps. It's a pity that this is obviously where the priorities lie.

Next map coming in Summer, so 3-5 months, before we`ll see it.

I`m still leaning towards another European map, but really hope they give us Australia, and some Crocs to hunt. Australia has wind turbines doesn`t it ?

Just please make it the same size at the original 2 maps, and spread the animals out more !

Not much else going on, so any news on the next map ? Must be getting close now, so hopefully something will come out, and we`ll have an idea of where it will be.

Watched Bumblewoot`s latest video last night, and he showed a table, that one of the discord users put together (apologies if you read this, I can`t remember the name !) And it showed how many herds were on each of the maps.

If someone could post it up, that would be awesome !

The amount on NZ was alarming ! something like 550, which was much higher than the NP & TV maps, which for a smaller map, seemed a bit odd. I`ve been on the NZ map a lot this week, and it`s such a noisy map ! Pretty much anywhere you go, you`ll get multiple calls coming from all directions, I can see why a lot of players were put off by this.

Wonder if they`ll be aware of that, and will adjust the amount of herds, in the next one ?

I think it was Florian Meyer who mentioned taking zones out, and having animals be more dynamic, and roam around the map more, rather than stick to an area, where you know they will be. I would be very happy, if they could make this adjustment, but I`m not hopeful.

Next map will be Released on June 18th. U will be thrilled! There are many New species including Tigers, snowleppards, Yaks and much more, changing weather conditions with snowfall and on top there will be a New gun introduced and.... Oh, wait! Wrong game... Sorry mate!

Had to reinstall the game a few days ago, and with my whopping 7mbps, and the game being 20gb, it took over 6 hours to download.

As soon as my broadband supplier gets moving, and the faster broadband they plumbed in, in my area, goes live, I`ll be able to download so many more games, and COTW will likely be one of them.

When it`s on sale, and dirt cheap though.

I'd like to see southern US with an encouragement to totally remove certain invasive species (like razorback and nilgai) that damages the native wildlife. Perfect pairing for MSRs

they anounced tikamoon on july 7th, but they also finished makariki faster than they did arora, so im betting in the next 15 days well get a map reveal.

yes, I also think that an announcement should be made in the next 2 weeks. Because it was said that the new map would be released in the summer and with roughly the same development time, the release would be in August. So the announcement at the beginning of July, let's see.

I'm a little negatively surprised by last week's Hunter Log. But at least it was said in the summer.
