You start from scratch. Nothing carries over in-game. You'll own your properties, but must fulfill the objectives as usual, I think that is what happens, from other comments. If you try, let us know! As for weapons and vehicles, etc., I don't know, my guess is all not free stuff will have to be purchased again, as you are starting over, not going to legendary mode or something.
It's really a game that begins when the missions are over, then pure hunting takes top shelf.
I see no advantage to it, may I ask the reasoning for wanting to? Thanks.

You keep nothing except the character perks. Money will have to be earned from scratch, items need to be repurchased, missions need to be completed again.

One thing I do wonder is if resetting also applies to the animal herds. I haven't been able to confirm this myself.

I wonder if the starting point for each game is exactly the same, or is it influenced in some random way? It would certainly reset the herds to 'start', because it's a fresh install; I imagine you still have to buy the private reserves, but keep all your DLCs, of course.
But how is it possible you retain your perks? I am unaware of a restart command in-game, which seems to me to be the only way you could retain anything other than the core game and the DLCs. A mystery to me, I hope I don't have to start over. Interesting to know about though for sure.

Interesting to know you'll keep the perks! Is that from personal experience?

There is a reset option in the general game options, the bottom entry. I think it was introduced in one of the patches, though, so it hasn't been there from the start.

Yes, I had to manually delete my savegame in order to bring them to zero. I wonder if this is intentional, as one would assume they would reset too.

I recall somewhere a reference to wiping everything, but keeping perks; perhaps that's what that save file contains. Thanks!

Hey guys, reset progress should reset perks, as well as the rest of the character profile, except system achievements. We are working on a fix for this issue.

Thank you!
Will there be reset character but keep
Perks and hunting log?

Not the way I understand it, is a reset starts at first light, first step, pilgrim. Only some "system achievements" as Miriam detailed, will not be reset.
How hard would it be, to back up your save, uninstall the game, reinstall, start fresh and see what' what? It won't hurt.:eagleeye:
More options for a restart would be welcome, allowing you to either do a complete reset, or choose to keep perks, and keep the map uncovered if you wanted. And being able to restart a map, with all the missions available would be amazing, as redoing them all is great fun.
There`s one person who`s been ever present on these forums, who`s covering all the missions in game, and showing them all on their youtube channel.

And for anyone new to the game, and even the old-timers, they could learn a lot from their videos, and typing Way of the Hunter play though on youtube may help you along the way.

On the subject of youtube videos, I think HUNT Gaming should have released a new one..
And he did, and possibly his best yet !

"Oh no ! I overshot it !"

Every 2 days they release something awesome, thank you HUNT !

I wish I knew what the music to the outro is, it`s awesome !
