Report a translation problem
You know you can zoom in on the map, it tilts, and as it's a 3D model it shows you the elevation right?
Personally though I would like the option of making the map 2D instead, in which case contour lines would be required. As the maps in lodges & campsites are already 2D ones with contour lines (OP have you looked at this? You can view with binos, they're pretty good!), it seems like this would be easy to implement. I think the choice of 3D map is quite random tbh, not as immersive for me.
As for a fatigue system - that just sounds like it'd be annoying.
