Any tips for tracking badgers?
One of the things I'm starting to understand in this game is the way animal herds work. This whole mechanic is fascinating and I've been having a lot of fun this weekend following tacks and game trails between different need zones but I'm having some trouble tracking badgers. Drinking zones are easy enough to spot, just go up and down a river until you find one or both, but I'm having a tough time finding eating and sleeping zones since badgers don't follow the more or less obvious game paths other animals use. I've been trying a "Spiral" method where I find a zone and move in a spiral outwards hoping to spot another one but it's not really working for me.

Any tips on tracking badgers would be useful. I have a couple of objectives involving them I would like to complete.

For me, there is no tracking really done.
I see them from far away & just go towards them. They just stand there! Right next to you!

Which map?

First map. I'm doing the Taste the World job and I'm .18 kg short now. I think I managed to get this far by pure luck because it's been impossible for me to hunt them from the stands by their need zones. So far I've sat across a river from their drinking area and just killed whatever came by hoping for a 3-star. Now I've been stuck on this last quarter-kilo for over an hour.

Near the lodge, to the east and west are two stands. The best times are when they are eating or resting. The .12-gauge is the best compromise between lethality and less meat loss.
Alternatively walk to the woods as suggested by Heavensarewild.
Good luck!

I have been struggling with getting that very last tiny bit of meat for almost 2 days. It's like all of a sudden the badgers vanished off the map and when I finally see one it's either female or 1 or 2 star. I gave up on it and began working other objectives and I'm unsure whether or not it's worth the aggravation trying to complete it. So far out of all the stuff I've done in the game this is the most difficult one.
