Tree Stands?

Any word on if tree stands will be brought into the game?

IIRC, the devs were "not too thrilled" about that idea, similiarly to hunting dogs.
In the case of the tree stands, it sounds like a trivial task for us non-programers, but I imagine, that you would need quite some work on existing maps, to make them compatible with the anchoring of tree stands...

So, it propably would be wise to do it as soon as possible, instead of doing it, after introducing the tenth map...

Although tree stands are not that important, to me, personally, I understand that there should be quite some gamers out there who want them so bad.

Perhaps tripods maybe the better solution, they can be placed on ground, no need to make them attachable to trees.

Yeah, like those in CotW. That should work.

Add tripods and tents and in no time we would get a shoot´em all experience, that is , precisely, what you can get in another famous hunting game people criticize for that same aspect.

I think mainly us who like bow hunting more now that the bows have been released are mainly after tree stands as it would bring a more realistic addition to the game.

They are common item for hunters but nobody is forced to use them...

Tree stands are pretty much essential for successful bow hunting irl.

I'll talk from personal point of view here & from experiences.
Here in Quebec, Canada, Moose hunting with bows is mainly done on the ground.
WT & Black Bear more with TSs yes, but not limited to it.
Especially if it's a '' baited '' species, well then it becomes way easy.

My first bow kill was on a bull Moose, on the ground & even though he wasen't a big one, still was scary & nerve racking. Heart was pumping big time.

You are not going to have that same experience in a TS.

Just wanted to say that in our family, with my friends, TS is not '' essential ''.

( I know you didn't say '' absolutely essential ''. but '' pretty much '' is up there. )

If you like to hunt with stands or tri-pods or not, some folks do and some folks don't. Adding features that a lot of folks might like is not a bad thing. If you dont like it, then don't use it. You can play most of these hunter sims in a mode that turns off all the hunter aids, not everyone likes that, some do, some dont. But it is very nice to have the option available, the more folks that like your options the more product you can sell. It would not hurt to learn from COTW. You want to take some of those users? Just add some of those options and they will come< other aspects between the 2 sims still make them different. PLEASE ADD TREE STANDS AND OR TRI-PODS, FOR THOSE OF US THAT LIKE THAT TYPE OF HUNTING.

The landscape in this game is so beautiful; I'd love to hunt from a tree stand, high off the ground. I could sit and listen to the sounds for hours, while working on other things, Waiting for animals to move into rarely used areas.

I also remember seeing something about this. I remember playing one of the Cabela hunting games, made by some of the same devs that made this game, where I loved setting up tree stands and sit there 'on top of the world' I don't think I learned much about hunting in that game though, the same I've done from playing this. But maybe we'll see it one day!

Tri-pods are coming, according to a recent road map I saw around here
