I already regret buying this game, thrash DLC.
well you don't hunt elephants for start here in Africa ....

The Africa Video showed a compound bow looks like they will be in game real soon can't wait. I hope they perform well and realistic and arrows perform well most bows now can shoot 80 yards, I hope they modeled wind correctly for arrows and are not pushed to far left or right from the wind. COTW game was broken for years ,until they fixed It a few years back. I hope the sight pins are very small so they don't cover the vital areas to shoot like COTW. And the
release trigger Is not as bad as In the Hunter game bow has a split second lag when you shoot and has never been fixed, COTW bow works great. I hope they brought some people In , I even called PSE and talked to them In Arizona to help out and use there product in game. Time will tell real soon.

Bit disappointed not to have a wider variety in this map, but hopefully when the final list is out, it includes at least one of the big ones, asked for by many. I was hoping for some kind of primate as well, to shoot them out of trees, so hopefully one day they`d be added to a map.

There`s only one bird named so far isn`t there ? So there will probably be 1 or 2 more of them added, similar to the other maps.

That said, I can`t wait for it to drop, and to go out and shoot whatever I find !
I'm considering whether I'll only play in the ranger on the map, except for the missions where it can't be avoided. And don't uncover any more need zones, but just go hunting and no longer practice real herd management and kill trophies if it comes up that way. I know some people have always done it that way anyway, I think it keeps the game fun. If the lions or even the hyenas are really aggressive, then additional excitement comes into play. The bow without aiming from the HS also brings an additional challenge. The landscape and the animals in the trailer and on the screenshots promise a lot of atmosphere. Actually, it should generate an increase in players.

yep Florian , this is how i went in the end with this game; Ranger mode and just a relaxing hunt. I buy all the lodges and go for a walk in the morning. No need for a vehicle.
imo, if they did really good sounds in that new map, it will be a winner !

I think they did really well on the crossbow hunt. That was the test for bowhunting and I think that will be just as realistic.

I did not see a site on the bow kind of strange, I hope they don't put a site like In COTW that shows you where to shoot dam near cheating in game, just put a normal three pin site or even five or a dial that a 99% of people use.

The Big Five would certainly be a dream for a hunting game. But to implement the elephant hunt well, for example, is certainly a very high challenge. Rhino is certainly not acceptable as endangered as the animals are. It's better to have one or two Big Five species than not to implement them optimally. I would miss the Cape buffalo.

The market is flooded with games where you kill masses of pixel people, that doesn't bother the snowflakes, but with pixel animals "morality" comes into play. That's pretty hypocritical. If you have a problem with killing any animal in a game, you can play Planet Zoo.

i would only shoot an Elephant or Rhino if its ill or wounded and cant recover.
perhaps this could be a way into the game in a storyline ?

Of course, one can also ignore species protection efforts and thereby question one's reputation as a responsible company. In my view, such a polemical answer shows neither a special knowledge of the state of the species nor conflict avoidance in marketing.

You can play "liberat the polar bears" in the TH. :steamfacepalm:

I didn't even know that pixel elephants were endangered. I don't need elephants in the game myself, but this double standard is strange. At some point maybe UH will bring these animals and then I'm curious to see whether the company will be ostracized as you assumed.

In Zimbabwe, it is still legal to hunt elephants, lions, cape buffaloes and leopards. Rhinoceros in South Africa, and I could list: Tanzania, Mozambique and Namibia. A lot of people form opinions here without looking.
