How do I get into the DLC region?

OK, this is tough, I am probably stupid.

I cannot find a way into the new region. The games main menu offers me to continue my game in the initial region.
"Select region" (or however it is called in the english version) is greyed out.

Am I helplessly dumb?

Have you completed the tutorial missions on Nez? You have to do a few missions first to unlock the store. Once you do those you should be able to choose any map but I believe the missions need to be completed first. I believe its about 5 missions and the last one is harvesting a mule deer I think.

Aww, sigh. I hate if games don't allow for being a sandbox and enforce handholding.

Honestly they don't take long. Its not ideal but at least you will have a bit of cash for callers or another weapon. As soon as the tutorial is done you can ignore all missions or tasks if you wish.

I assume it would be all DLC as the store doesn't get unlocked without doing the first few missions. As soon as you have the store unlocked, all DLC should be available to use.

DC2Dixon is right on both accounts, you need to complete a short tutorial before the shop unlocks and before you can play in Free Hunt and Multiplayer on any of the other maps.
