Zoom Binoculars!!

I know most zoom binoculars start at 8x or 10x and go up from there but since this is a game and not real it would be nice to have zoom binoculars that go from 4x to 20x or somewhere around that. Right now I need to use my rifle scope for less than 8x. Also a spotting scope would be nice, say 60x

I'm fairly certain more binoculars are planned to be in the game in the near future so there is a chance a high zoom binocular gets added. It was on the latest roadmap iirc

I don't even use the binoculars anymore as I find it useless for scoping out large areas compared to the variable scopes. I just let the hunter sense act as a built-in rangefinder.

Yes, they would help in spotting animals further off. That way you know there is a reason to continue in that direction.

I'm not interested in zoom binos. They are unusual for hunting for obvious reasons. I would like better (brighter) quality binoculars without rangefinders and an aditional, insertable spottingscope for detail observation.

i dont like zoom binocs and dont use them.
I would like to see a proper zoom mechanic in the scopes which zoom only inside the optics and not the whole screen !!!

Hunters don't typically carry zoom binos. Yes this is a game but we want to do all we can to avoid making this a copy of that other hunting game which is pure arcade. Because of the game's DNA and the philosophy of the devs - which leans more towards sim than COTW-style run and gun arcade BS - don't expect them to add zoom binos any time soon...

Agree, no need for a zoom binocluar. Perhaps we'd like to have a spotting scope with tripod, but you can carry it only in exchange for a rifle due its weight:-)

That wouldn't be very popular imo.
It would stay in the store for me for sure.

Keep in mind the higher the x power magnification the harder it is to hold steady. Not modeled in game but it should be.

indeed, there no shaking at all and you can hold it forever like your rifle too.
That´s a point which is simulated in the other game with the heart beat ;-)

Good comments for sure. I had low zoom binoculars in mind but a quick search suggests 3x - 10x don't exist anyway so back to using the rifle scope.... What do people think about monopods or bipods for steadier shots? Bulk and/or weight might require only carrying one rifle however. I get prone where possible but there are lots of longer range shots where getting prone is not an option that would be helped with a monopod or bipod. Perhaps a bipod accessory that attaches to one of the rifles? A bipod attached to the .338 would be deadly.

Hey I am a fairly new player to way of the hunter. As a casual player who isn't really good at hunting IRL or has done it IRL I end up using the hunting sense a lot of the time. the one main thing i hate is that way of the hunter has so many guns that can shoot from 300m, 400m or even 500m but it dosent help if the binoculars can identify anything fro that far away. I have found that it only seem to work for 250m down and that a big sometime because i might be staring right at a animal and it still dosent tell me what it is so i can groom the heard for a 5 star.
