difference between the regular 300 and the 300 long distance

does anyone know what the difference between the regular 300 and the 300 long range is ?

I haven't tested it personally, but someone said the Steyr one has better accuracy. I guess muzzle velocity and resulting penetration and damage remain the same in both rifles.

ok thanks..it just seems kinda odd that there would be 2 of the same rifle in the shop..im suprised that they didnt pull the regular 300 yet.

not the same rifle. one is a remigton one is a steyr. the steyr rifles in general are more accurate.

both 300 shoot the same round with same energy. All steyr are more accurate.

I like it that there are options in the same caliber. The .243 also comes in two rifles and similarly the main difference is accuracy. For example I mostly use the M1903 in .30-06, as I like it's design, so even if there comes a modern .30-06 rifle with much better accuracy I'll still use the M1903. :)
