Trap Door Key bugged? *SMALL STORY SPOILER*

So after doing all the Riddle quests, didn't Noah tell us to check the mail box to get the trap door key? When I went to the mail box all I got was another one of grandpa's letters and another comic. I went to the trap door afterwards but the game still says it's locked...

Did I miss something? Did the quest bug out?

Do we know if this is an actual bug though? It almost seems like it's to early to uncover the truth so maybe we weren't actually supposed to get the key just yet... anyways, I'll keep playing for now and see how the story progresses

i stuck on the forest 2 time near the tree bottom wood while i croush and stalk animal , but good luck to find wha trees it happen often if u get close to them specialy if the tree at a hill that go down , i dont know not going to do a bug report no time for this and hard to do

Same, got message from Grandpa instead of key. Now mailbox has nothing and I have no key.

did you tried sleeping or doing a email mission? As far as I remember I also had to wait for the Key in mailbox, did some other mission and after a while it popped up "Check the mailbox"

I have no missions left. I went to 3 different cabins and did all of their missions. I did all of the April missions. I still don't have the key in my mailbox. It's been like 4 or 5 hours of playtime. Slept for several days. The only thing I had in the mailbox when it said to check the mailbox for the key was the letter from grandpa. No key.

Looks like it's gonna be the same for me. I've done several missions since the riddle one, now I specifically cleared the one with the 2 different bird species (4kg+6kg) for the pancakes... still no key. I guess we'll have to wait for a fix.

its not a bug , you need to continue doing mission from the laptop , the ones to kill "x" animals , harvest "X" amount of meat etc ...

you will get the key after the mission to get 300kg of mountain goat meat . then you receive a mission to go to the mail box then go to basement and see that someone likes to hunt some illegal things
