None of the callers do.
Think of it more like a beckon/summon whats already there closer...
Also, for ducks, ive found it works best if the duck is already in the water.
Flying ducks will land where the flock lands.
Ducks on land will typically ignore as they will probably be feeding/resting in a need zone.
But ducks on the water will happily scoot around and check you out with a few honks.
Also found you have to be really within 50m.
100-150m too far for a duck. Shotguns are only 25-50m max anyways... unless youre duck shooting with the .22LR :P
If you got it right, as you keep calling to them, they’ll get curious and start moving your way. Once they’re close enough, switch to your favorite rifle and seal the deal.
This is how I use the callers and this is how I have them come to me.
**Be warned, if you blow too often, they will just move away or fly off.
