Anyone got some tips about this quest? Ive been hunting badgers since saturday and i didnt see a single badger that was more than 2 stars.Do i need to hunt in the yellow circles on the map ?

Its been three weeks bruh. You get them Badgers yet? If so, I'm in dire need of your wisdom. I just can't let go of this Waste of the World mission. Darn Badgers done went and gone extinct on me. Pardon my former southerness...but these Badgers pissing me off. One just walked right up to me, looked me in the face as if to say, "Oh its you...with that stupid caller! Think you can grab your gun, before I can pull a ninja on you?" I'm pissed. He ninja'd me. Felt like I was standing there with a wooden pickle in my hand. Went to switch to Grandpa's rifle, and that's when he took notice and zipped out. I'm about to go Caddy Shack on all of them!

No you don't.
Based on my exps in other similar types of missions, where you have a Circle ( any color ) indicating where you need to FIND them. Not necessarily KILL them.
The Badger could go out of that zone & still be good for the mission. So don't neglect the OUTSIDE of that zone.

I finally got it the other day.. only needed a single Kill finished it.. just takes checking daily in same area t=until the male reaches 4 star.. then head shot him with the 223 and done:)

The only badgers i see are 1 star

Someone suggested that if you take out the newb animals, the respawns will be a star greater (ie the 1-stars, then the 2-stars etc). I am trying to refrain from killing the females. Got so frustrated in the 9 PM darkness, as I couldn't see these little rascals, and Hunter Sense was useless, that I shot then asked questions after. Sadly, it was a female.

I'm going to follow this gents guidance, and start eliminating the 1-star and 2-star males and see what happens. Reviewing the guns, I think Grandpa's 30-30 is a bit too powerful for Badgers.

I found a spot that was active in the 9:00 PM hour, and used the predator caller. The Badgers were taking note, and coming right up to me. One actually plowed into my legs, causing slight harm.

i could try again but im not a fan of culling anymore, i dont have the time for this.

Actually you do not need to kill two stars. You can kill ten one stars and get it done or just meet the weight requirement. Worked for me that way. Killed a couple one stars then a three star and mission was completed.

I took out the Malesn th e3-4 zones near the Lodge first day as they were all low 1 stars not understanding the system.. The next day they were Young One stars again.. but I checked every couple in game days while hunting, over time I spotted a 4

I just started this mission tonight and I've already got one 4-star. I started hunting at midnight with the headlamp and caller. Check all the places where you have seen badger. Good luck.

i dont hunted for them (i was up for Deer)and suddenly a 4 star with over 10kilo comes my why after around 4 hours or so (they are in the river banks often) in the starter area

i killed plenty of one star badger, it doesnt work lol,
anyway i gave up on that mission and also on the game. I found a new missions about harvesting a 2 star wolf,a 3 star wolf and a 4 star wolf... im not doing that LOL

I had a hard time wth the 4* one. Took me a while to see him & when I did, I had brought with me at that time the .338 rifle. So killed him with it.
Bad idea! It destroyed him & he lost all his stars.
So, tried to find another one in the next couple days but did not see any.
Left the reserve & went to Transylvania.
I will return some day & retry him.

Update: As stated earlier, on the first day of this mission I got a 4-star. The next time out was today and I got a 5-star. Both were taken within the circles, so I don't know what issues others are having on finding them, but it is possible within the circles.
