harvest 5 mule deer under 40% fitness mission, adult or mature

I assume the fitness is the genetic percentage? if so ive just harvested an adult male mule deer at 32% genetics and it didnt count towards the mission. is this a known bug??

Does it have to be in a certain area to count??? I notice the game outlines areas in yellow when we activate missions(jobs/tasks/story). I can't say I've got it figured out yet. I can't believe it doesn't tell us...../le sigh....

If you have this quest active, there won't be any map outline, indicating you can hunt them wherever you like.

For the missions where map areas are outlined, it's only for certain objectives like finding traps or hunting a specific, named animal, etc.

You're having trouble finding them aren't you? As am I. Been after this for a while now and still only 2 of 5. So much to get distracted by. I have yet to get a good hit using the caller. Its kind of hilarious, I can hear them respond from over in another player's game like an echo. "Yo bruh, come over here, so I can shoot you?" "No, you come over here, imma shoot you."

I would suggest you use your own judgement and skill, and not rely on the caller. Find your herds, and specifically search for that potential bad gene adult or mature. Study their antlers close.

I used caller for all 5 of mine, I got 4 in a row shortly after getting quest, 5th took maybe 5 or 6 kills But all called

I'm on this exact task right now, Deer Management. I lights up the S/Eastern section of the map in yellow for me, but excludes the corner property(even though I have it unlocked).

No, I can find them easy, it's just that I don't know where I'm allowed to complete all these different tasks/jobs/story missions. It's annoying that it doesn't come out and say it. I'm at 2/5, just started it yesterday evening. I guess my herds are just unhealthy, I think I'll get mine done today. I just don't know when/if I'm limited to certain areas for missions and that's what annoys me.
