Hollywood the ghost

Hey hunting community, Im super frustrated with the hollywood hunt. When I first got the mission, investigated the water need spot, returned to the lodge and then walked all the way back. There he was, only I royally messed up the shot, and since then, ZERO mule deer spawn in that entire hollywood area, no game at all. Ive walked the area multiple times now, checked back time and time again days and weeks later, nothing. Hollywood aint there, and no other wildlife is in that entire zone. Its been literally 7 hrs in game basically wandering around going blind trying to catch a glimpse. Is this some sort of glitch with spawning?? There is no way to abandon and restart a mission so i guess im kind of sunk. I left it fed up multiple times, went around and killed some deer in other areas, but at this point I just want to move along with the story and get into some other zones with larger/different game. Has anyone found a fix for this after having the terrible aim on hollywood that I did the first time. Lol, whats strange is I know I drew blood but lost the blood trail into the forest, and that was ingame weeks ago now, so am I just sunk?

Same thing happened to me, shot him tracked him then nothing. Now never to be see again

yeah, super frustrating lol. Even just a mission abandon feature would sort it. Give it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reset or something,

I've shot him twice now. Both times should have been a clean shot and got blood splatter, but when tracking there's no blood. So far I've been able to rest for a day and get him to respawn but something definitely feels off.

Same for me. dropped him! i had good sight that he dropped. reached the spot und holliwood is not there ....

Dropped and bagged Hollywood yesterday but I can see how frustrating this could have been...

Spooked him and his girls once (no shot fired) as they were slowly heading to the water need spot. They then ran off, heading up into the forest.
I myself went back to the lodge, fuming, and decided to explore the NE for the day.
Came back in late afternoon.
Did an hour or so stalking and moving real slow, eventually found Hollywood grazing on the edge of the forest up across the grassland.
Crap lucky shot broke its spine, instant drop :-P

Same issue here...popped him, found blood, slowly tracked him long time, bumped him and his girls once...never to be found again. Four days IRL, several days in-game where I get sleep overnight...no sign of him.
All I can come up with is that he bled out and is on the ground somewhere

I finally got him. But there seems to be a bug with kills disappearing. I'm thinking this is what happened to at least 2 of my Hollywoods...

This was a mule deer shot around the same area as Hollywood...

I have 14 hours in... about 3/4 of that is looking for hollywood. Ive slept and returned over ten times.

I had no problem with Hollywood, but today I shot a mountain goat on snow at the edge of a lake and it vanished. It was an instant kill from 120 meters away and saw it dead on the ground, but after walking up, it vanished in front of me as I went to claim. It did not sink into the ground or slide, just went poof.

I have the vanishing Hollywood too. Clean shot, large spatter of pink bubbly blood, only one spot of blood to track, and Hollywood gone when I saw him fall. Also his herd of females returned but no Hollywood with them now

Also had the same problem, after the hunt and tracking failed, I went back to look for a few days, but only saw the doe. I also tried every possible way. really need mission reset.

It's really bad that animals disappear after a hunt , It's not just the Hollywood House, it's the same with all animals.

I play on Xbox Series X and am having all these problems and more. I also shot a Bighorn Sheep on the ice by a small lake and blood vanished but I still found him. Game froze, came back and my Bighorn was gone. Tons of ducks and geese, a few days later nothing in the same spots. Nothing. Blood always vanishing. Used to be tons of moose, days later not one in the same places.

At least you PC gamers get patches first. God only knows how long it will be for the consoles. :-(

I read this before I started the hollywood hunt. I stuck to the road on the right side of the river and he's up on a hill to the left about 300m away. I crawled the last 100m until I was around 100m away and nailed him broadside with the 243. He ran but as soon as I found his blood trail he jumped out of the bush and died right in front of me lol.
